Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V Unveiled

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V was unveiled last week, announced as another smartphone running the ever popular Android Gingerbread operating system.

Technical specification on the Xperia Neo V place the device in the mid-market range with the phone touting a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 as well as 1GB of internal phone storage.

In terms of a release date of the Xperia Neo V, Sony have announced a release of Q4.  There's no information on pricing yet but we anticipate the Xperia Neo V hitting the market in the £300 to £400 range.

HTC Sensation Cheapest Still On O2

O2 are offering the HTC Sensation at a knock-down price of just £27 per month for a free device on a 24 month deal.  The blue UK network are offering the device as part of it's 'Flash Sale' deals of which, the HTC Sensation deal will end on Monday so you've got 2 full days to head over there and grab a bargain price Sensation.

Only last month, you could have grabbed the Samsung Galaxy S2 on an identical deal, with O2 knocking the Samsung devices out on a £27 per month deal for a free device.

Features of the HTC Sensation include a 1.2GHz dual core processor and Android Gingerbread 2.3.

Samsung Galaxy Note Unveiled Carrying 5.3 AMOLED

Today saw the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note featuring a massive 5.3 inch AMOLED HD touchscreen.  The new smartphone offering from Samsung will come running Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a super fast 1.4GHz dual core processor.

The Samsung Galaxy Note will also come complete with a stylus, just like back in the day of the old PDAs.

In terms of a release date, the Galaxy Note is widely expected to land worldwide before Christmas.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S Unveiled Running At 1.4GHz

On Wednesday, Sony Ericsson unveiled its latest and greatest Android smartphone yet, the Xperia Arc S.  Purported to be Sony's fastest smartphone yet running a mighty 1.4GHz processor the Xperia Arc S is set to be the big brother of the Xperia Arc adding a new feature called '3D Sweep Panorama'.  The feature adds a mode which allows the use of the additional processing power of the Xperia Arc S to convert standard 2D photos into 3D via the HDMI port.

All other specs on the Xperia Arc S remain the identical to the Xperia Arc, these include a 4.2 inch touchscreen, 8.1MP camera and comes running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Release details in the Xperia Arc S give leave us expecting a pre-Chirstmas release, a mid-October launch worldwide.  Just another stocking filler perhaps.

There's been no word on pricing as of yet but expectations are set around the £400 to £500 mark.


Sony Tablet S And P Announced - Specs Revealed

Japanese electronics giant Sony have taken their first steps into the tablet market by revealing two new Android powered tablets to hit the market over the next couple of months.

The devices have been named as the Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P, both of which will coming running the ever popular Android Honeycomb operating system.

Sony Tablet S

The Sony Tablet S will be the premier of the two tablets with specs showing the Tablet S running a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor complete with a 9.4 inch WXGA 1280x800 display.  There will be three models of the Tablet S available, of which only one will run the Android 3.2 Operating System and 3G network support with the other two being WiFi only models running the older Android Honeycomb 3.1.  Current specs on the devices show the availability of 16GB and 32GB models.

Sony Tablet P

Specs on the Sony Tablet P are fairly similar to the Tablet S with the main difference being less storage (just 4GB) and a smaller display (of which there will be two).  The P will support MicroSD rather than the SD support on the Tablet S'.

The prices on the two tablets are split by £100, the Sony Tablet S ringing up at £399 and the Tablet P running in at £499.  The Tablet S will be available this month, expected with in the next couple of weeks however, you'll be waiting an additional month for the Tablet P with a release set to around mid-November, just n time for Christmas.
