The Samsung Chromebook Series 5 laptop will be hitting UK shelves tomorrow and will be releasing to mixed reviews. It is widely commented that what the Chromebook does well (online) it does very well but what it doesn't do well (Offline) it does terribly. Whatever you read, reasons for purchasing a Chromebook will always be subjective just as is the case for PCs, Windows Laptops and Tablets. Perhaps an argument is there to say Google aims to fill a gap in the market that just doesn't exist...yet.
Whichever side of the fence you are on, the Chromebook releases tomorrow and has been available for pre-order on both Amazon and PC World for some time now. Purchasing your Chromebook will set you back around £349 for the WiFi version or £399 for the 3G version. With the integration of Cloud storage, the device will carry just 16GB of internal storage and whether there will be online storage limits upon release or in the future is not clear.
