Motorola Xoom Android 3.1 Worldwide Rolling Out Now

We know what you're thinking and to be honest, we're thinking it too - It's about time.  Finally, over a month after Motorola Xoom users in the US started receiving the Android Honeycomb 3.1 Motorola have finally started rolling the update out to the rest of the world.

The update started rolling out in Japan yesterday and is expected to roll out to the rest of the world over the next few weeks.

A post over at the Motorola Owners forum stated:

"Good news! The 3.1 update for the Motorola XOOM™ outside the U.S. has started. Owners in Japan started receiving the update today (June 21). Owners in other regions can expect updates to start over the next several weeks until the roll out is complete. Motorola has responded to the widely-expressed desire to have the SD card activated on Motorola XOOM. The 3.1 update for non-U.S. devices, in addition to many other improvements, also includes an SD card activation solution. Release notes for this update will be made available in each region. Please note that functionality varies by region."

Well they do say good things come to those who wait.
