Nvidia Kal-El Chips On Target For Q3 2011

Later this year, mobile phones and tablets will be powered by the next generation of Tegra chips, currently known as the Tegra 'Kal-El'. A video has shown up on YouTube showing the a Kal-El chip, boasting a quad-core and expected to be running around 1.5GHz, running a stress test demo called Glowball. A glowing ball is seen moving around, casting light and shadows as it moves around the screen.

Manufacturers of mobile phones and tablets are expected to start production of Kal-El powererd devices in August ready to go on sale before the end of the year.
