Motorola Xoom UK Release Date Shows Up

It's been a long time coming, or it at least feels like it. The Motorola Xoom UK release date has finally shown up online. The Carphone Warehouse has the Xoom up on it's coming soon page with an expected date of April 2011 but what's interesting is that the model shown on the site is not the WiFi only model that had been expected, this is the full blown 3G model so it will be interesting to see if/when/what networks pick up on the Xoom.

The Carphone Warehouse have the following brief list describing the Xoom:
  • The World's first Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet, with software optimised for a bigger screen.
  • 1280x800p 10.1" display, with 16:10 aspect ratio for immersive gaming & movie playback.
  • HDMI out and full HD mirroring on your HDTV - what's on your tablet, is now on your TV.
  • Dual core processor & dedicated graphics processing unit for fast, furious gaming.
  • 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity for flexible internet access at blistering speeds

There are currently 4 known different models of the Xoom; MZ600, MZ601, MZ603 and MZ604.  The main difference between the models being price and connectivity (3G etc).
